FOLLOWING last week's announcement of our Pro Golf IQ trialists, we are delighted to introduce the first responses from out five Mates members that are taking part in test-driving the powerful mental coaching program.
We introduced to you Golf Link golfers Simon Walker, Sarah Russell, Mark Sheldon, Louise Hayman and Steven Robertson.
This week, we have received their first reactions to the Pro Golf IQ program and they are all experiencing positive mental changes and relaxed states that they expect will apply to their golf games.
"I found the registration process easy. I was easily able to download all the audio sessions to my laptop," says Louise Hayman.
"I am finding it challenging to find an optimum time to listen to the sessions, but I think I have hit on first thing in the morning. I like Jason's voice. I do find it hard to visualise for such a long time — remaining on track is difficult because my mind wanders off.
Pete Nicholson, director of Pro Golf IQ commented: "the feeling of drifting off is common, it's just like daydreaming. However, while your mind is in this relaxed state, it is in the perfect environment for learning new skills."
"I love the trigger sound - I associate it now with happy perfection," Louise said.
"I feel good after the sessions, relaxed and calm. In one golf game I consciously relaxed with deep breathing on the tee and now I think of it I drove really well."
Simon Walker says, "I have found the Pro Golf IQ program very calming, I have listened to a couple of tracks and it's been soothing.
"My golf has not been to the level I expect but that’s not through the Pro Golf IQ process. I have tried to put the ability to clear the mind into place on the course. I feel it’s starting to work, but my shot execution needs some work.
"I find the trigger sound of the driver hitting the ball really good. I feel nice and relaxed after listening to a session and now hope to see some results come to fruition on the course."
Mark Sheldon says, "The Pro Golf IQ registration process was a breeze as was listening to session one online. The downloading of the audio files was simple and fast."
"Fortunately, my lifestyle has allowed me to fit in the three 30 minute sessions on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings."
"It is very important to commit half an hour, three times per week to get the best out of the program," says Pete Nicholson. "You simply lie back and listen to the sessions and there is no physical activity involved. It's probably the easiest golf coaching you will ever experience!"
"I found session two very relaxing," says Mark. "With a vivid imagination I have enjoyed the visualisation techniques for ridding myself of the tensions of my day.
"Jason’s calming voice has me surprised at how immersed I have become while in the sessions. I feel disconnected from any outside stimulus.
"The audio of a perfectly struck ball has become my main ‘go to’ for relaxing on the course, it even reminds me of the tempo to swing with.
"The sounds of the birds and wind in the trees are a nice touch which take me immediately to the golf course. During a round, I have found it is becoming easier to tune out the external distractions.
"I have yet to shoot the ‘lights out’ in any comps but my calmness levels have definitely increased along with my confidence."
Sarah Russell says, "I have found the entire experience very rewarding and, whilst I have not seen an improvement in my game, I have definitely seen an improvement in my feeling of calmness.
"The website is very clear and downloading the audios is easy. The first audio is obviously setting subliminal messages in your mind. When I listened to the next audio, there were some very recognizable sounds in the background.
"The sound of someone hitting a golf ball has become a trigger of calmness and actually brings a smile to my face."
Pete Nicholson adds, "The sound of a driver perfectly striking a ball creates a powerful trigger to the subconscious mind to prepare itself for optimum performance.
"This process will become more evident as the program progresses. "
Steven Robertson says, "I was so relaxed doing session one that my wife came into the room and I didn’t even notice.
"I did have headphones on and my eyes were closed, but normally I am quite aware of things around me.
"I don’t think I will see any results until I get back to comp rounds. But, one good positive was that I felt a lot calmer on certain shots when I would normally feel nervous."
"The reviews from week one of the program," says Pete Nicholson, "are quite typical from results most of our customers report especially the feeling of calmness and relaxation which as every golfer knows is very important when playing.
"By eradicating tension and anxiety from your game, your mind promotes focus and confidence on every shot".
"I'm really excited to hear how our participants progress during next weeks audio session".
