Cypress Lakes Resort is a golf and spa sanctuary, nestled amongst the vineyards in the heart of Hunter Valley wine country. A 2-hour drive from Sydney, the Resort is surrounded by the beauty of native Australian bushland and mature gardens. Cypress is a world away from the pressures of everyday life.

The Tournament Structure - Team and Individual

Team Event

4 players per team – enter as a 4-person team or an individual and be partnered up (note: rates are based on quad share accommodation).
No handicap limit - open to all Men and Women with a GOLF Link or Golf Access handicap.
Stableford scoring format.
The best 3 scores from your team are used for each hole, each day and added up to form your daily team score.
You play with 1 (one) of your team members each day - therefore playing in a 2-ball with another team 2-ball and scoring each other's cards. Across the 3 days, you will rotate and play with each of your team members and with other team's.
There is a team winner each day and an overall team winner will hold the GOLF Link Challenge Trophy at the end of the 3 days.
 
Individual Event

Normal format with all 3 cards being added together to determine the overall individual winner.
No handicap limit - open to all Men and Women with a GOLF Link or Golf Access handicap.
Stableford scoring format.
There will be a daily winner and the overall leading individual will become the GOLF Link Challenge Champion at the end of the 3 days tournament.

2 nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation (4x share villa)
3 days of tournament golf (Individual and Team event):
  • Friday, tee times start at 10:48am (Cypress Lakes)
    • Drinks and canapés upon arrival
    • Presentation after play
  • Saturday, tee times start at 10:40am (The Vintage)
    • Guests transferred to and from The Vintage via Bus
    • Lunch provided as you make the turn after 9 holes
    • Presentation after play
  • Sunday, tee times start at 10:00am (Cypress Lakes)
    • Seeded draw with leaders teeing off last
    • Presentation, drinks and canapés after play
Wine and cheese tasting provided
Golfing gift pack for all competitors
