GOLF Link SMS Alerts - RECEIVE YOUR FIRST 3 FOR FREE
Golf Link has launched a new service to its members. Using Golf Link SMS you will be able to receive your current handicap and latest competition details on your mobile phone. It's quicker and cheaper than buying the paper and you can easily forward your results to your friends.
Note:
*Text is not case sensitive.
*Customers under the age of 18 must obtain the account holder’s permission.
*After 3x FREE SMS expired, subsequent SMS Alerts are charged at $1.00/SMS
*The cost is $1.25/SMS for Single Handicap Alerts. (Message sent is 25c, message received $1, inc. GST).
*The charge will appear on your mobile phone bill under Oxygen8 Communications.
To unsubscribe from the subscription service, SMS STOP and your Golf Link number, e.g. STOP 2999900000,
to 199GLINK (19945465) or alternatively to unsubscribe from all services and marketing databases, SMS STOP to 19945465.

There are 2 ways to start using the service:
1. Subscribe via your mobile phone:*
i. In a text message send "SUBSCRIBE" and your Golf Link number, e.g. SUBSCRIBE 2999900000^ to GLINK (19945465). Subscriptions costs $1.00 per SMS received however the first 3 SMS Handicap Alerts you receive will be free. You’ll be advised how many free SMS you have left upon subscribing. Content frequency varies or determined by the customer after the first 3 free messages.
ii. Golf Link will instantly send back the details of your latest competition (See the example image on the right)
iii. After each competition round, you will automatically receive your updated handicap, score and the best score of the day.
Important
Your mobile phone must be able to accept Premium SMS services to be able to receive Golf Link Handicap Alerts. Please check with your carrier that premium SMS is enabledon your phone.
2. Single Handicap Alert:*
i. In a text message, type your Golf Link number, e.g. 2999900000.^
ii. SMS it to 199 GLINK (199 45465)
At a cost of $1.25 per SMS you will receive a Handicap Alert after each request. (Message sent is 25c, message received $1, inc. GST).
iii. You will receive your latest competition result. (See the example image on the left)
This service allows you to retreive your handicap whenenever you may need it. Note: This is not a subscription service.
