2011/12 Host Courses - Victoria Series

The 2012 Victoria Series will offer golfers the opportunity to be welcomed into and compete at 5 of Victorias finest Golf Clubs. It's a privilege to compete over such well regarded, challenging layouts and we thank each venue for agreeing to host a qualifying event.

  • Sandhurst

Designed by Australia's greatest ever golfer, Peter Thomson and world-renowned design team. The North Course emphasizes strategic shot making and provides a searching test of golfers short game skills. The North Course features large sprawling greens, where getting to the putting surface is just the start of the challenge! Borrowing from the traditions of Scotland, the course has several distinct features such as the Wall surrounding the 3rd green and the Burn which dissects the 9th fairway.

  • Eastern

Although not long by modern standards,Eastern GC provides a real test of the golfers range of shots. The landscape is undulating and you will be asked to play the ball from a variety of sloping lies. Bounded by trees and asking for accuracy from the tee, the greens also reward accurate shots - only one green does not have bunkering and you can be faced with a challenging putt if you leave yourself too far above the flag.

  • Woodlands

Woodlands Golf Club, located in the renowned Sandbelt and is highly regarded by golfing purists, the championship layout provides a true test of golf. Woodlands provides a complete golfing experience. Golfers will remember Woodlands because it tests all aspects of their shot-making ability. Hard and very fast greens and pure couch fairways offer a great surface from which to play and there are many bunkers to overcome. Woodlands is a par 72 and is around 6111m. Woodlands is Ranked #22 in Australia.

  • Settlers Run

Settlers Run championship course was designed by Greg Norman. It is a par 72 golf course and extends over 6607m. It is really the location that makes it special and unique.
